Our research interests are focused on the structural, biochemical and molecular elucidation of the interactions that govern "life" processes. Models exploited include proteins, enzymes and ssDNA viruses. The methods utilized are X-ray crystallography, cryo-electron microscopy and molecular modelling. The ultimate goal is to correlate structure to function for the development of therapeutic treatments of disease in the form of small organic molecules, peptide inhibitors, vaccines, gene and antigen delivery systems.
