Adam Carter

Adam is from Jacksonville, Florida where he attended high school at Stanton College Preparatory School and graduated with an International Baccalaureate diploma.

He entered the University of Florida not fully certain of his life's goals, but through exposure in his coursework he found scientific research to be his niche. During his sophomore year he worked regularly with the Movements Disorders Center assisting with Parkinson's disease studies.

Adam joined the McKenna lab in January 2006 as a part of the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology IDS program. Upon graduating in the spring of 2007, he hopes to enter medical school and pursue a career in medical research.
